Our Mission
We believe that the purpose of youth ministry is to help teenagers develop spiritual disciplines, or holy habits, that will serve to broaden their relationships with Jesus Christ and lead them to live lives that are overtly Christ-centered.

If a youth group leader can help a teenager develop the habit of reading Scripture and seeking God's presence in prayer everyday, then he or she has made a major impact on that person's life. That teenager will likely take that habit to college and on into adult life, laying the groundwork for healthier relationships, higher moral standards, and stronger marriages.

Certainly all youth group leaders have told their kids to read their Bibles. Most are sure that doesn't work. To effectively facilitate those holy habits, we need to make it ridiculously convenient for our teenagers to approach the Scripture and discover its significance.

DailyDevos.org exists to help facilitate the development of holy habits among teenagers by providing youth group leaders with faithfully-written and easy-to-understand daily devotions, free of charge.

The Weekly Devos Sheets
Our Daily Devos are compiled into a Weekly Sheet, which is posted each Friday afternoon. Youth group leaders can download the Sheet and make as many copies as necessary for the teenagers their ministries. We have obtained written permission from the International Bible Society that allows for the reprinting of the TNIV text. These Weekly Devos Sheets are offered free of charge.

We will occasionally compile multiple weeks in a single document download. When it is likely that groups will have a lower attendance because of a holiday weekend, we will publish the Devos in advance so that group leaders can distribute them the week before. For example, we will publish two weeks of Devos on the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

Our Author
Neal Bowes is a lay employee who works as the Director of Youth Ministries at Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Ridgefield, Connecticut. He is a regular contributor to LinC, the weekly Sunday school curriculum published by the United Methodist Publishing House.

Neal started writing devotions for the members of his youth ministry in 2005. Soon after, he felt led to share that resource via the Internet. So, DailyDevos.org was born.

Free?
Yeah, free. There are no subscription fees. That pretty much means that we have no advertising budget. So please, do what you can to spread the word about DailyDevos.org.
